2025 maize demonstration plot harvest results announced
Across 46 demonstration sites in 11 provinces, the Triargo programme delivered an average 24.6% yield uplift against controls.
In 2025 the company ran maize demonstration trials with provincial extension services across 11 provinces, establishing 46 sites using the high-nitrogen compound plus microbial programme against local conventional fertilisation.
Harvest results showed an average yield of 641 kg per mu, 24.6% above control, with thousand-kernel weight up 11.8% and bare-tip rate down 5.3 percentage points. Fertiliser cost fell 10.4% on average, adding roughly 120-180 RMB per mu in net margin.
The company noted the trial focused on the combination of staged top-dressing and microbial activation, with the clearest response on medium-fertility land. It recommends the programme as a priority where yield targets exceed 600 kg per mu.
